Beta Release
March 12, 2024 marks worldwide public beta launch of GeoQuestAR and brings this innovative product to the masses as we test the scalability and performance of the application. Not all features will be turned on at first to limit risk to all users. Here’s what you can expect in the early part of beta testing:
- Creature battles galore! Head outside and open the AR features within the app. View the map, find a creature in your area, and head off to battle.
- Expected updates this week: 1) New enemy battles; 2) NFT challenges (puzzles); 3) NFT instant redemption (upon capture); 4) Social Wallet system activation.
- Blockchain features like wallet connect, crypto gathering, and reward redemptions are currently disabled. It is necessary for us to stress test our servers with increased user activity and fine tune the app before introducing monetary value. Of course, this will be disappointing to many, but while we scale the app with users we need to protect those precious resources and connections at first.
